When you are first starting to search for homes you probably started that search on the Internet. Almost every website that is connected to our local MLS lets you search for listings in our area but one thing to understand is that it is certainly easy to do, but the data is sometimes difficult to manage. One of the problems that comes about is when Agents try to list the home and it falls on the border of a certain area. You see our MLS is set up for a variety of different areas, the city of Eau Claire is actually divided into parts, North, South and West. You can already see the problem since there isn't an East, now the Agent has to decide what area to put the home into. Is it on the North or South or is it on the border of Altoona? What if its in Altoona but Eau Claire schools? Sometimes a home is in another county such as Chippewa but still in Eau Claire schools! If that isn't confusing I don't know what is. The point is that without knowing all these different subtleties, sometimes it can be very difficult to know for sure that you have a complete list of homes available to choose from. Thats why I set up each one of my clients with a personalized search that helps to ensure that we see every listing that is available. The moment a new listing comes on to the market we both get an email. I am very skilled at setting these searches up and manipulating the results. I am aware of all the nuances involved and try to avoid not seeing a listing.
