Yahoo recently did something pretty cool. That might sound strange to say because for the most part you can poke Yahoo with a stick when you compare it to Google. But Google and Facebook don’t get a long for the most part so this makes sense. What is it? Yahoo added Facebook to their search results and now your face shows up if you use Facebook that is and of course they are looking for you or for some reason your profile just shows up in the search. That seems like a lot of ifs but you can see the results below.

Hi Shane
Cool info; I would love to talk to you about my site when you get time. If you get a chance you might want to give my boss Bill Stas a call at 262-567-2455 or email him at billstas@remax.net. he thinks your pretty cool and mentioned he would like to network with someone like you.
Sincerely
Tom Braatz
I didn't realize Google and Facebook don't get along... Interesting. Off to check this out for myself!
Social sites are just as important as network sites. I would add to the list Twitter as a great site to write on.
Shane,
Thanks for the tip!

Shane - thanks for the update. I was not aware of this. Important to know.
I will Tom. I have to run and show some houses in a minute and then I think I am presenting an offer. After that I will talk if I get a chance later.
Jared they are in direct competition for certain markets.
Steve I have wrote quite a few posts about Twitter if you want to check them out.
Interesting...I didn't realize that Yahoo didn't already list Facebook in their results.
Its not that they dont list the result its the result itself. Look at my picture in that search. You can click on it and go right to my Facebook account. Google doesnt do that.
That is extremely good information to know. Very useful. And visuals are always more compelling.
I always hate ill-competition. Nice to see Yahoo steps up to be different.
I like Yahoo, for some things it far exceeds Google. They also started a new social networking site that I need to find out more about. There are so many now.
Very interesting. Not sure how I feel about it. FB for me is for talking with my friends, people I truly know and would invite into my home. We have a FB page for our business, but that is seperate from our personal pages.
I use Facebook quite a bit. Matter of fact it's in the background right now!
